I was walking with my old dog Zoe today. She is almost ten years old. I am looking at her and thinking she might be the first family member to leave us. She has lost weight and has severe back and hip pain. We have her on three different medications but it does not help her much. She still gets slower and her appetite has decreased since she started taking pain killers. I hope she will be with us for a while longer. She is such a sweet dog. She lives in the yard now because she is not able to control her bowels any more. From a sunny San Francisco a recovering Vinnie!
